Rock singer Robin Tamang dies
Singers and musicians have taken to social media to express their condolences and share their memories of Tamang’s musical contributions.
Kathmandu, July 5: Robin Tamang, a renowned rock singer in the Nepali music industry, has passed away at the age of 60. According to his sister Bhagawati Tamang, he breathed his last in his residence in Budhanilakantha on Tuesday evening.
Following Robin Tamang's failure to answer his phone, the Budhanilaknatha Police Circle received a call, as confirmed by Police Inspector Deependra Chand. When the police team arrived at his room, they discovered the lifeless body of the singer on his bedside.
The cause of his death will only be determined after a post-mortem examination, as stated by the police. Robin Tamang, known as the vocalist of the Robin and the Revolution Band, was also involved in acting in Nepali cinema. He recently appeared in the film 'Chhadke-2'. Tamang made significant contributions to the development of Nepali rock-style songs and music.
The Nepali music community has expressed sorrow over Robin Tamang's demise through various social media platforms. Some of his popular songs include 'Nepal', 'Ekata', 'Chiso Chiso Hawama', 'Maila Bhai', 'Jati Maya Laye Pani', 'Dam Maro Dam', and 'Bhul Ma Bhulyo'.
